Total Safety Management Training
We can train your management team in the elements of Total Safety Management, a comprehensive approach to managing employee safety and workers compensation. There are nine preventive steps and six post-injury response steps. We then integrate this program with an OSHA compliance program for a complete package.
OSHA Required Topics
The key OSHA-required programs that apply to most employers are listed below. We can provide the required written programs and training. We can review existing written programs and training for completeness and effectiveness.
Key OSHA Programs:
- Employee Emergency Plans and Fire Prevention Plans
- Occupational Noise Exposure
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Respiratory Protection
- Confined Space
- Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout)
- Portable Fire Extinguishers
- Powered Industrial Trucks
- Fall Protection
- Electrical Safe Work Practices
- Bloodborne Pathogens
- Hazard Communications
Other programs might apply and would be identified during an initial evaluation of a customer’s nature of work and specific hazards.
We can give your employees a good understanding of the importance of workplace safety as it applies to their own well-being and the financial well-being of the business. We help employees understand their important role in workplace safety and the specific steps they can take to minimize the risk of injury. We make sure they understand the basics of their workers compensation benefits should they need them.
However, we want employees to understand that workers compensation premiums are experienced-based. The more injuries we have, the higher the premium. Since workers compensation is a government mandated employee benefit, we must provide it. However, the more we spend on workers compensation, the less we have for wages and other valuable benefits. Therefore, it behooves us all to work together to manage unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.
